"The best hooks to use are called Floreat hangers. They're made of tempered steel and go into the wall at an angle to disperse some of the weight down to the bottom of the hook.  What's so nice about these hooks is that they have a little corrugated head on them, so if you need to pull them out you can twist them out with pliers."
